'Saaho' recovers budget as per trade reports

Till recently, some trade reports said that UV Creations has incurred heavy losses on 'Saaho'. Made on a budget of Rs 350 Cr, the Prabhas-starrer got a drubbing from the Telugu audience right from Day 1. However, if some trade analysts are to be believed, the film has recovered its gargantuan budget from theatrical and non-theatrical sources.
The film was released in theatres mostly by UV Creations itself (to the tune of 80% of territories). They are now in the safe zone, with the Hindi segment giving very good figures, a commentator says. 'Saaho' has made just about Rs 79 Cr (share) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Saaho has collected Rs 424 worldwide gross, which includes a nett figure of Rs 300 Cr in India. With Rs 130 Cr + fantastic deals of music, satellite and digital rights, the film is safe already, says trade analyst Ramesh Bala.
Directed by Sujeeth, the film released on August 30.
