The actress of 'Saaho', Shraddha Kapoor, gutsily said OK to playing the role of a 50-year-old mother of four in 'Haseena Parkar', the Hindi-language biopic based on the life of Dawood Ibrahim's sister.
Her director, Apoorva Lakhia, says that only someone who believes in her talent could have dared to do that. Known for romantic roles, Shraddha, who is all of 30, was game to essaying the experimental role. "As an actor, she never questioned, 'Oh why am I playing a mother of four?' That shows how confident she is of her talent. For a woman who is 30 to play a 50-year-old, where there is no song and dance what she is known for, is fantastic," Lakhia tells a news agency.
Set to hit the screens on Sept 22, the film tells how Haseena Parkar became a lady don.
Meanwhile, she recently participated in the script readings of 'Saaho' for two days, in Hyderabad. She interacted with Prabhas during her stay.
