Dhanush has completed his schedule in Karthik Naren's 'Maaran' recently and began shooting for 'Thiruchitrambalam' with Mithran Jawahar. The star has made it official that he will be teaming up with Tollywood filmmaker Sekhar Kammula for a trilingual film, as we reported earlier.

Sekhar Kammula, who is known for making classic love stories in Telugu cinema, is planning to make this film as a pan-Indian project. Although this is a multilingual venture, this project is considered as Dhanush's Telugu debut.

Now, according to the latest reports, the film is going to be a ‘period drama’ set in ‘Madras’. It is for this reason that Sekhar first approached ‘Dhanush’ for this untitled flick. Financed by Narayanadas Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao, the script work and pre-production part of the film are reported to be completed.

The makers hope to start its regular shoot from December this year. Fans were very eager to know the genre that the director is going to make the film with the versatile Tamil actor. This unnamed movie is rumoured to be a political drama.
