S.P. Balsubrahmanyam, South India's most celebrated playback singer for the past fifty years is in critical condition admitted to a private hospital after testing positive for coronavirus on August 5th. His condition has been serious since August 13th night and the film fraternity and fans spearheaded by his longtime friend director Bharathiraja conducted a mass prayer on the 20th evening from 6 to 6.05 pm.

Meanwhile, SPB's kind-hearted gesture to a visually challenged fan has gone viral on the internet and brings tears to those watching it considering the situation now. One Mr. Maaran a professor of law in Sri Lanka lost his eyesight in an accident a few years ago. He then in an interview stated that during his days of darkness it was SPB's songs that provided him the consolation and the will to live life. He also shared his wish that his lifetime dream is to meet the legendary singer which would be the most precious thing ever in his life.

S.P. Balasubrahmanyam in one of his tours to Sri Lanka made a surprise visit to Maaran and made his dream come true. The legend not only gave him consolation by listening to him sing but also sang some of his songs, especially for Maaran. Well that's the kind of gentleman SPB is spreading positivity wherever he goes apart from the evergreen songs he sings with his magical voice.
