SPB to undergo lung transplant?

Legendary singer S.P. Balsubrahmanyam has been battling severe health issues caused by the COVID 19 and he has been admitted to the MGM Hospital in Chennai since August 5th after testing positive. From the 13th of August night the 74 year old has been shifted to the ICU after his lung got affected and was not functioning properly and he is being treated with a ventilator and ECMO therapy.
The good news came on Monday that SPB has tested negative for the coronavirus and he is also getting better day by day and has been watching cricket and tennis on his IPAD according to his son Charan.
Now news has quoted the hospital sources that the doctors are considering a lung transplant for SPB. The hospital has already successfully transplanted lungs for a COVID 19 patient a few weeks back. It is also said that the SPB family has registered with the organ transplants division of the Tamil Nadu Heath Ministry. The official confirmation regarding this news has not come from any family members yet.
