The much-loved playback singing legend S.P. Balasubrahmanyam passed away this afternoon at 1.04pm after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was admitted at the MGM Hospital in Chennai from August 5th after testing positive for mild coronavirus symptoms but his condition deteriorated first on the 13th night and after recovering a little once again on September 24th.

Words are not enough to Thank him for guiding me to be a better singer. Cannot think about a concert without your great & gracious presence. Condolences &prayers to Savithriamma,Charan,Pallavi & Family.
SPB and Chithra are one of the most successful duet singers in Indian cinema and have recorded more than 2500 songs together mostly in Kannada and Telugu followed by Tamil.
