Finally, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s controversial Malayalam film "S Durga", which was declined the screening in the International Film Festival of India last year, has now approved by the censor board’s Revising Committee and without any cuts.
As per the information, the movie is now eligible for public screenings, which had received a 'U/A' certificate from the censor board.
Director of the film Sasidharan shared the new poster of the movie on Twitter, in which the title reads as, "S DURGA". He stated that he cannot wait for the film to release and is happy with the decision.
Meanwhile, the film has got prestigious Hivos Tiger Award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam; at home, it was denied an exhibition certificate with the CBFC clamping down on the 85-minute film. The film was unceremoniously dropped from the International Film Festival of India at the last moment, which led to the resignation of jury head Sujoy Ghosh and two other members.
