Ajay Bhupathi of 'Rx 100' fame has approached the Cyber crime police department against some unidentified impersonators. A cheating case has been filed under the IPC, besides under relevant sections of the IT Act against the offenders.

Going into details, the offenders have been caught impersonating the filmmaker on Facebook and Twitter with the intention of duping the gullible into submitting their details. Many aspiring actresses sent in their profiles to the offenders and are believed to have been hoodwinked in other ways.

After the crime came to his notice, Ajay Bhupathi immediately reacted and appealed to everyone to stay away from online frauds. He approached the Cyber police, urging them to take action against the culprits.

The popularity of famous filmmakers is often exploited by gangs. Tools like Facebook come in handy to them.
