Legendary international action hero Rutger Hauer passes away

Legendary international action hero Rutguer Hauer passed away in his home country Netherlands due to a short illness and his last rites were held on Wednesday according to an official statement. Hauer became a superstar at home in 1973 after the release of the steamy 'Turkish Delight' directed by Paul Verhoven which won the Best Film Oscar in the Foreign film category.

Rutger Hauer then found Hollywood success after costarring as a terrifying villain opposite Sylvester Stallone in 'Nighthawks' and there was no looking back after that. His best Hollywood flicks are 'Ladyhawke', 'Blade Runner', 'The Hitcher' and in later days 'Batman Begins' and 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets'. He continued acting till his last breath on July 19th at the age of 75. Tributes are flowing in from all over the globe from fans of the superstar of a by gone era.
