In an amusing video that has gone viral on social media, a news achor from Ukraine is seen losing one of her teeth right in the middle of a live broadcast that happened on Wednesday morning.
The viral video shows the anchor reading the news report in a live broadcast, in the middle of which a front tooth falls out her mouth even as she casually catches it and goes on with the program uninterrupted. In a post on Instagram, the anchor, identified as Marichka Padalko, acknowledged the incident. "Yes, I really lost part of my front tooth today during the live broadcast of TSN at 9:00. This is probably my most curious experience in twenty years as a presenter. Live broadcasting is wonderful because it is always unpredictable (translated)," she stated. Claiming that an incident like this has never happened in her 20 years of career as a news presenter, Padalko mentioned, "Honestly, I thought the incident would go unnoticed. This episode was deliberately not posted on the TSN YouTube channel. But we underestimated the attention of our viewers."
The anchor further went on to explain that the broken tooth was a result of an accident involving her daughter more than 10 years ago. "I had a heavy metal alarm clock in my bedroom and one time my little daughter grabbed it and started swinging it around while I was sleeping. It hit half of my tooth when I was yawning in the bed," she said.
Thanking everybody who took it in a good spirit, Padalko ended her post mentioning that throughout the story, she was personally impressed by the amount of support she received – both in the comments as well as in personal messages.
