Tapsee Pannu signs remake of one of world cinema's most critically acclaimed film

Tapsee Pannu who made a name for herself in Tamil and Telugu films is now a pan Indian star and one of the few who can draw crowds on the strength of her name alone. Tapsee has just signed a new project titled 'Looop Lapeta' which is the remake of the German classic 'Run Lola Run'.
'Run Lola Run' directed by Tom Tykwer released in 1998 and became an instant hit for its unique non-linear narrative that has inspired several later day films. It is about a young girl Lola who sets out to save her lover from robbing a bank and getting killed by a gangster told in three different scenarios. Franka Potente and Moritz Bleibtru star as Lola and Manni and both their performances were critically acclaimed.
Tapsee Pannu is playing Lola in 'Looop Lapeta' while Tahir Raj Bhasin plays her pair. This Sony Pictures India coproduction will be directed by Aakash Bhatia and considering the leading lady's market down south could have regional language versions too.
Tapsee also has her Tamil movie 'Jana Gana Mana' starring Jayam Ravi in the lead directed by Ahmed which is under production and is expected to release in the course of this year.
