Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Chehre' was the mystery thriller everyone was looking forward to. Unfortunately, just like several other films, 'Chehre' also got postponed due to the massive surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in the country. Recently, director Rumy Jafry was asked to share some information about the release of the film.
He shared, "Safety comes first. So in times like these where malls and cinema halls are going to shut early what’s the point in releasing the film? There are many states that are introducing night curfew in that case the last show will be at 4 pm."
In an attempt to release films safely, many filmmakers have opted for digital releases as well. When Rumi was asked whether 'Chehre' will opt for the same path or not, he said, "We have made such a good film, so it is necessary we be a little patient. Having said that it is going to be the producer’s call completely, but yes we including Mr Bachchan decided ki film release hogi toh theatre mein hi hogi. It will definitely have a theatrical release."
Apart from a solid trailer and stellar cast, 'Chehre' is also hyped up for being the comeback project of actress Rhea Chakraborty who was away from big screen due to the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
