Amidst media reports that Ram Charan and his Konidela Production Company are not involving themselves in 'Acharya', of which Charan is one of the two producers, the film's other producer has issued a statement. There have been rumours that Charan is not active because he has "been too busy with Rajamouli's 'RRR'."

Niranjan Reddy of Matinee Entertainment today said that it's not at all true that Charan is a passive and non-contributing producer of Chiru's 152nd movie. "The news reports are totally incorrect. Konidela is fully and equally involved in all discussions, monetary contributions and production activities. We both are equally sharing everything," Reddy said.

"The film's making has been carried out as per shared duties and responsibilities," the producer added.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the film has Ram Charan in a powerful supporting role. Trisha recently walked out of the project.
