In the bizarre of school of acting in Bengaluru, a director of Kannada cinema Smile Sreenu has evolved acting school in Bellary to meet the needs of northern Karnataka aspirants to cinema and television. Smile Welfare Foundation is the first association Smile Sreenu evolved and later in last August he started the Smile Silver Screen Academy to teach acting. A brainchild of Smile Sreenu director of Thoofan` Kannada cinema, he has made a lengthy short film of one and half duration with the 30 plus students handling all departments.

It was three in one function at Sri Renukamba Digital theatre on Tuesday evening. Rummy` a film by students trailer was screened and later the film, felicitation was made for those who supported the cause and thirdly the 30 students of the Silver Screen Academy received first batch certificates. Directors Suni, Indra Babu, Victory Vasu, Anbu Urs were prominent among those who received felicitation from Smile Silver Screen Academy. Smile Sreenu intends to make two films a year. It is a rigorous training to know the difficulty of cinema in our Academy of acting. It is Rs.20000 fee in this Academy.
