Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today suggested that the Road Transport Corporation would be shut down. It's finished is what he said when scribes asked him about when the strike would come to an end.
"RTC is bankrupt, with loans running into thousands of crores. It has no future," KCR said.
He rubbished the strike, saying that it's useless and meaningless. The TRS supremo added that strikes like the ongoing one are usually provoked by Unions before Union elections.
"There are as many as 57 corporations under the Telangana State government. If we merge the RTC with the government, others too will pur forward a similar demand. They will also go to the Court, which will ask the government to merge them. Can we go about doing such things?" KCR asked.
