When it comes to Indian sports icons, there are few who can come close to the glory of Major Dhyan Chand. Following the current trend of biographical films, RSVP Movies have decided to make a film on the life of the hockey wizard. Makers have picked up Abhishek Chaubey to direct the film. Although the script is almost finished, there haven't been any casting decisions yet.

This is Abhishek had to say about the film, “Dhyan Chand is one of the greatest hockey players in the history of our national sport, and it’s a matter of pride to direct his biopic. We had massive amount of research material in hand, and honestly, every achievement of his life deserves a separate story in itself." 

Dhyan Chand was the flag bearer of Indian dominance in field hockey from 1925 to 1949.
