The pride of Karnataka in the last 36 years Lahari Recording Company has come out with a statistics that the company has contributed Rs.650 crores to Kannada cinema industry irrespective of losses and gains. This is something very big from an audio house. This contribution is a direct investment on Kannada cinema industry but there is equal amount of indirect investment from the audio house headed by G Manohar Naidu and G Thulsiram Naidu (Velu). The venture made from the beginning in to all areas of musical programs has given us a standing says Velu who comes up with right statements at right time.

Lahari Company takes complete control of a film audio and video. This is a wrong step and we would not give our clearance told some of the music directors and lyricists of Kannada filmdom. That has eventually resulted in setting up own music audio houses by music director Anoop Seelin, Raghu Dixit, Dr V Nagendra Prasad latest inclusion is Music Bazaar` that has got over 10 films audio rights to work in the transparent system.

Lahari Recording Company has acquired many numbers of Companies in the past. There were 145 audio companies at one time. For Akash Audio Company when Madhu Bangarappa came for suggestion, I have given him full advice on this industry. He has flourished. Many of the big names have started audio houses. What happened is well known.

I am not for opposing anyone starting new audio companies. They are welcome. Time will tell the answer. The audio CD business has dropped considerably is a fact says Velu.
