A jewelry shop in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh was robbed the other day by three gun-brandishing men who entered the store as customers. CCTV footage of the robbery is out.
Two of the robbers first enter the store, where staff members believe they must be customers. They are seen wearing face masks. One of the staff members offers them sanitizer. After cleaning hands with it, the robbers open their country-made guns and point at the staff.
They start amassing gold into their bags quickly. One of the staff members is seen folding his hands out of fear. Another one walks out of the room, probably unaware that they are robbers.
The shop owner has claimed that the robbers went away with gold worth more than Rs 40 lakh. They also stole cash to the tune of Rs 30,000.
In Aligarh , then men rob a jewellery shop following full ‘covid protocol’ - walk in wearing masks , get hands sanitised and then whip out a gun and rob the establishment ! @aligarhpolice have promised swift action ... pic.twitter.com/hTOREmEg2W
