It's known that 'RRR' has been nominated for the Golden Globe Awards in two categories: Best Picture (Non - English), and Best Original Song - Naatu Naatu. The achievement is being seen by many commentators as a giant step towards the film's Oscar glory.

"The path to the Oscars for RRR becomes clearer," tweeted Bollywood filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. The Golden Globes nomination is another feather in the cap for the film after SS Rajamouli recently won the Best Director Award at the New York Film Critics Awards.

The nominations also prove that 'RRR' was snubbed by our very own people a few months ago. Netizens and commentators are increasingly criticizing the Film Federation of India for not sending 'RRR' to the Oscars as India's official nomination. A Gujarati film which stood no chance to win the Oscar was sent instead.
