"We created history," the makers of 'RRR' today said soon after 'Naatu Naatu' received an Oscar nomination. "Proud and privileged to share that the song has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards," the makers said.
Recently, the song bagged a Golden Globe Award. Its Oscar nomination was expected.
Sadly enough, the movie has failed to secure a Best Picture nom. India's official entry 'Chello Show', too, failed to make the grade.
Jr NTR and Ram Charan, too, have failed to secure a nom in the Best Actor category.
The run-up to the nominations was feverish. The final result will be known on March 12.
Lyricist Chandrabose has been proudly named by the makers in today's announcement poster. Recently, he said that he believes in using everyday language in his songs so that even an illiterate grandma can understand the lyrics. Choreographed by Prem Rakshith and sung by the Rahul Sipligunj-Kaala Bhairava duo, the son is an MM Keeravani composition. It is the composer who will represent the song at the Oscars event.
