'Roy': Topping 2015 opening starts its winning streak

After the successful start at BO in 2015 with BABY, Bhushan Kumar's ROY received an impressive first day opening of Rs. 10.40cr. ROY sees the leading actors of Bollywood Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez coming together for the first time in a romantic action thriller.

ROY continues its forward march and collects Rs 11.16 crore on the 2nd day (14th February) and Rs 7.12 Crore on the third day (15th February).

The total amount sums up to Rs 28.68 crore in just 3 days!!

Directorial debut of Vikramjit Singh, the film has received a great response and support from the audience on its first day. The film songs that garnered great response and are topping the music charts helped the marketing and promotions of the film and gave the right buzz for the film. Arjun who is seen as a filmmaker and Jacqueline who plays a double role intrigued the audience and for Ranbir Kapoor fans his character of ROY was a surprise treat. , Bhushan Kumar is already on cloud nine with the first day openings. ROY that was made in the budget of Rs. 30 Crores with additional Rs. 10 Crores for Print and Advertising, has already sold its satellite rights at Rs. 25 Crores, overseas rights for Rs. 6 Crores and its music has also already earned another Rs. 6 Crores. Home Video, internet and terrestrial rights the film looks like a definite profit film for the producers!
