The 2018 Christmas release Maari 2, starring Dhanush, Sai Pallavi, Varlaxmi Sarathkumar, Kreshna and directed by Balaji Mohan wasn't a commercial success, but the movie's chartbuster number Rodwy Baby composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja was a huge hit.

The song had superb moves choreographed by Prabhu Deva and performed stunningly by Sai Pallavi and Dhanush, making it an instant hit number among youth and kids, and ultimately the song started creating and breaking YouTube records. Ever since the video song of Rowdy Baby was uploaded, it has been creating records.

Now, the song has crossed the massive milestone of 500 million views on Youtube, and with this achievement, Rowdy Baby becomes the first south Indian movie song to cross 500 million views. It had 100 million views within 16 days, 200 million in 41 days, 300 million in 69 days, 400 million in 104 days and 500 million views were reached in 157 days.
