Divya Spandana has acted in very few Tamil films but enjoys great popularity in Tamil cinema due to her absolute fab screen presence in 'Polladhavan' and 'Vaaranam Aayiram' especially the songs "Minnal Koothadum" in the former and "Anal Mela Pani Thuli" in the latter. The pretty lady who is active in politics representing the Congress party in Karnataka shares a good rapport with her Kollywood colleagues.

Divya took to twitter to appreciate her 'Polladhavan' costar Dhanush's 'Rowdy Baby' video song hitting the phenomenal 100 Crore mark. She had stated "What a song D! Make that 100M + 1 Yuvan Shankar Raja, So happy for you! Rowdy’s both". Divya's friendly message has landed her in troll trouble as her followers are throwing angry replies to her that she had not appreciated Kannada actors Sudeep's 'Pailvaan' trailer or Yash's 'KGF' making 250 Crores. Some of them are even going to the extent of asking her to contest from Tamil Nadu the next elections as she will not get even one vote. Well that's how social media works as netizens cannot see an innocent friendship message as that.
