A day ago, we had reported that actor-director Roopesh Peethambaran was criticised by Nivin Pauly's fans after he posted a status of Facebook praising the Rakshit Shetty's version of Richie. Roopesh had posted on his Facebook page, "it's pretty hard to imagine how a masterpiece turned into a piece." Though the actor later apologised for the same, Roopesh has got into more trouble now. 

The makers of Richie has filed a complaint against Roopesh with the producers association seeking "strong punitive action against the director who has caused damages to Nivin and the producers". Meanwhile the actor is planning to take legal action against the Richie team for tarnishing his image. He said the legal action will be taken against the media outlets who twisted his words and Richie team comprising of Nivin Pauly, Vinod  and Anand Payyanur.
