Director Sathya Siva impressed everyone with his debut film 'Kazhugu', which told the tragic tale of lovers who end their lives and the parallel story of the people who rescue the bodies. Roopa Manjari of Naan` and Yamirukka Bayamey` fame, who has so far done glam roles has had a complete makeover to play the role of a construction worker and Naveen Chandra who appeared in Sarabam` is the hero. Rajkiran, Selva, Thambi Ramaiah and A Venkatesh play other pivotal roles. Madhu Ambat takes care of the camera while C.Sathya composes the music and the film is edited by Kasi Viswanath. Sivappu` an attempt to provide meaningful cinema is jointly funded by Muktha Films and Punnagai Poo Geetha.
