No one can forget the Roopa IPS , the former DIG of Parappana Agrahara prison at Bengaluru. She hit the headlines a few months back for exposing the alleged VIP treatment and royal facilities accorded to V.K.Sasikala and J.Ilavarasi who have been lodged in the prison after being convicted by the Supreme Court in the disproportionate assets case. Within few days of the expose, Roopa was transferred to some other department and another officer replaced her as prison in-charge. 

However Roopa became a popular icon among Tamil Nadu youngsters, especially in social media for her bold act against Sasikala and standing up against extra judicial facilities offered to a prisoner convicted for corruption. It is well known that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has been criticizing the ruling AIADMK Government as well as the Sasikala clan day in and day out based on various issues. He has also announced his plans to launch his own political party to take on corruption through electoral politics. 

Now Roopa has met Kamal Haasan at an event in New Delhi. Roopa has proudly share the picture taken with the legendary actor in her Twitter page. 

It will be great if Kamal and Roopa work together in the fight against corruption. It is not an unrealistic expectation since Kamal has stated that he is ready to work with anyone who is against corruption.
