'Romantic' to clash with 'Varudu Kaavalenu'

The release date of 'Romantic' is now preponed. The sensual entertainer, starring Akash Puri and Ketika Sharma in bold roles, will hit the screens on October 29. It is all set to lock horns with the romantic family entertainer 'Varudu Kaavalenu' on the same date.
Both films are directed by newcomers. If 'Romantic' is helmed by Anil Paduri (who has worked under Puri Jagannadh's able guidance in the past), 'Varudu Kaavalenu' has Lakshmi Sowjanya wielding the megaphone.
'Romantic', meanwhile, has been making news for its songs. Sunil Kashyap-composed 'If You Are Mad, I Am Your Dad' is intimate. On the other hand, 'Peene Ke Baad' is story-driven. Two other songs were released months ago in anticipation of the movie's theatrical release much earlier. 'Romantic', which is written and co-produced by Puri Jagannadh, has been a delayed project due to the pandemic. Ramya Krishna, Uttej, Makrand Deshpande and Sunaina have key roles.
As for 'Varudu Kaavalenu', it is produced by S Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments.
