Rojulu Marayi, which hit the screens on July 1, is getting a thumping response, according to the makers. For a small-budgeted movie (it's produced by G Srinivas Rao on Good Cinema Group and presented by Dil Raju on SVC and Maruthi on Maruthi Talkies banner), the openings are apparently good.

"Contrary to the pre-release expectations, the movie has turned out to be a youthful family entertainer attracting crowds of all age groups," the makers say.

They further aver, "Rojulu Marayi has made a mark for itself by collecting Rs. 1.05 cr on its first day with 75 per cent occupancy. This is big, considering that there are no big stars to its credit."

Starring Chetan Maddineni, Parvatheesam, Tejaswi and Kruthika in the lead roles, the movie is directed by Murali Krishna, a protege of Chandrasekhar Yeleti. Maruthi's screenplay and story have worked with the youth.
