Roja addressed a press meet for the sole reason of thanking director Puri Jagannadh for casting her in ‘Golimaar’.

She thanked Puri Jagannadh mainly for giving her a power packed character. As a protective mother and as a strong lady, Roja talks strongly to the police in ‘Golimaar’. Attributing her character of the movie to her real life persona of a politician, she candidly told the press that she had been to police stations as she was actively involved in politics. Experiences there made her live the character in the movie.

She also expressed her gratitude to Puri Jagannadh for allowing her to dub herself in the movie. Her stern voice has received appreciation from the audience. She revealed that it was the 2nd time of her career that she dubbed for herself with the first being ‘Shambo Shiva Shambo’.
