Though she was introduced in Telugu, Roja made waves with her debut venture ‘Chembaruthi’ in Tamil. She was the dream girl of South India once and now actively involved in Andhra Pradesh politics.

The actress has been in the glare of publicity recently only due to her political activities. Roja is now the Telugu Desam Party's Women’s wing President. Her recent meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy fueled the guess-works that she is likely to join the ruling Congress

However, the latest news in the industry is that she has made a comeback into cinema. Roja will soon be seen in the upcoming flick ‘Sambo Siva Sambo’ which happens to be the remake of the Tamil hit ‘Naadodigal’.

Currently, the shooting is said to be going on at Ahobilam and Roja is expected to spend fifteen days for the canning. She is reportedly playing the role of the Home Minister in this one while Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh and Siva Balaji are the heroes. Roja from her end is said to be feeling like at home in cinema.
