Yesteryear actress Roja called on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday. It was a courtesy call on account of Roja being sworn in as a Minister in the YS Jaganmohan Reddy government.

"Roja met with KCR along with her family. She presented a large portrait featuring the TRS supremo. KCR congratulated her on becoming a Minister. He also wished her all the best in future endeavours," a source says.

A pic of the firebrand YCP leader calling on Megastar Chiranjeevi has also surfaced on the Internet. The former on-screen pair were all smiles on the occasion.

In other news, Roja strongly defended YS Jagan over KTR's criticism of the power, water, and road situation in Andhra Pradesh. "KTR garu has been seen as a young, dynamic, and inspirational leader. I don't think he has criticized Andhra Pradesh. He only said 'neighboring States'. He didn't name AP. If he has criticized AP, I strongly condemn him. Let him visit our State. We will showcase the welfare schemes and transformational changes brought in by our Chief Minister. I will explain to KTR personally," Roja said.
