Roja has only got disappointment. She is not a Minister in the Jagan government, something that the firebrand leader of YSRCP has been strongly desiring.

‌Jagan's social engineering formula is said to be at the root of Roja ending up empty handed. The Chief Minister has chosen to not give much space (as much as was expected) to the Reddy community in his council. The former actress hoped for a ministry but was allegedly offered the post of Speaker.

Roja rejected the offer. When Jagan didn't give into her wish of being given a ministry, she reportedly asked for a chance in the second council, which will be formed 2.5 years later. ‌ ‌For now, Roja has to make do with the hope of becoming a Minister after a reshuffle in early 2022 despite being a popular leader who successfully defeated the members of a well known TDP family.
