Roja, who is making her comeback in Kollywood with a slew of films, is playing the mother of 'Ko' fame Karthika in Bharathiraja's 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum'. "It is a meaty role offered by my guru," she says.

"I am happy to act in a village based subject after a long gap. As usual, Bharathiraja sir has given paramount importance to human emotions in this script and my character will be talked about," says the yesteryear heroine.

An active politician in Andhra Pradesh, Roja adds: "I am playing the role of a lawyer in Karthi Sivakumar starrer Saguni, directed by Shankar Dayal. Also I had played Goddess Bhoomadevi in Sri Ramarajyam, whose Tamil version is set to hit the screens soon."

Roja is one of the top heroines of the 1990s. She started her acting journey with Prashanth starrer 'Sembaruthi' and shared the screen space with almost all top actors, including Superstar Rajinikanth.
