One more Vijay Deverakonda flick is going to be remade in Hindi. After 'Kabir Singh' (remake of 'Arjun Reddy') became a blockbuster a few months ago, it's the turn of 'Geetha Govindam'.
Sensational Bollywood director-producer Rohit Shetty owns the rights. It's said that he has had healthy equations with Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas, the producers of the original. He may only produce the remake or might direct it as well if everything goes well.
"Rohit Shetty has successfully remade NTR's 'Temper' as 'Simmba' last year. He knows the audience's pulse and may direct the 'GG' remake if he thinks he needs to," a source says.
Deverakonda's flop movie, 'Dear Comrade', will be remade by producer Karan Johar.
