The success of Rohit Shetty's recently released 'Sooryavanshi' is a proof that the cop universe that he envisioned is taking shape and people are loving it. So far, all the movies in the series have had male cop protagonists and Rohit was recently asked whether there is space for a female centric cop film in his universe. Rohit gave a very straightforward answer to this question.
He told The Indian Express, "Without a female lead or cop, the universe won’t ever be complete. We are waiting because we all have lost two years of our lives. Today we would be discussing my 17th film, not the 15th. Sooryavanshi was supposed to be released two years ago. I don’t want to make a small film. With a woman at the helm, my film will be at the level of Singham or Sooryavanshi.”
However, he hasn't planned the project as of now and he will only start working when there is a good script in hand. He said, “Till the time I don’t get that kind of a story, I can’t proceed just because there is a demand for a female cop in this universe, and I can understand that. Whenever I make this film, I want to make it into a bigger scale film for sure."
It would sure be exciting to see women joining the lineup of Rohit's ambitious cop universe. As of now, he'll soon start working on Ajay Devgan's 'Singham 3'.
