Rohit Sharma has been putting up some spectacular performances in the World Cup. With India sailing strong till now, it is natural to get reminded of earlier victories in big tournaments. A nostalgic Rohit Sharma seems to have gotten so overwhelmed in memories that he referred to the wrong Champions Trophy edition in his tweet. In a post that he later deleted, the Hitman had uploaded a picture of himself and his mates holding the trophy along with the hashtag #ChampionsTrophy2017.
India had won the 2013 edition of the series, but in 2017, they lost in the finals to arch-rivals Pakistan. Suresh Raina was quick to point out the error saying: “Indeed memories to cherish for life brother, but ones from 2013 ??. You got me tricked too.” Fans also joined the party with their own trolls. As long as the errors remain online and not on the field, they wouldn’t mind too much, however.
