Rohit Sharma is unstoppable. With his fourth century yesterday, the batsman has been proving why he is known as Hitman. Not only is he the second cricketer to reach this mark in a World Cup after ex Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara, but Rohit has also achieved another feat. He has become the Indian batsman with the most number of sixes in ODIs. And he has surpassed none other than Thala Dhoni.
With 229 sixes to his name, Rohit currently stands one six above MSD who has hit 228 sixes in the 50-over format. One of his 5 sixes yesterday happened to hit a fan in the stands. In a sweet gesture, the opening batsman then went to sign a hat and give it to her, checking if she was okay. Rohit had scored 122*, 140 and 102 against South Africa, Pakistan and England respectively. In the match against Bangladesh, he scored 104 from 92 balls. Hopefully, we will get to see more tons from the Hitman who has been instrumental to the squad.
She got hit by a @ImRo45 maximum and the opener was kind enough to check on her and give her a signed hat.#CWC19 pic.twitter.com/KqFqrpC7dS
