Tennis legend Roger Federer took it to social media to announce that he and his wife Mika have donated 1 million Swiss Francs (which amounts to 7.70 crore Indian rupees) for the welfare of families in Switzerland in the Coronavirus crisis times.

Roger Federer has requested people to help the families in Switzerland where more than 100 people have lost their lives due to Coronavirus. His post on Instagram has been receiving great response from fans and followers.

Federer posted "These are challenging times for everyone and nobody should be left behind. Mirka and I have personally decided to donate one million Swiss Francs to the most vulnerable families in Switzerland. Our contribution is just a start. We hope that others might join in supporting more families in need. Together we can overcome this crisis. Stay healthy."
