One of the upcoming movies that has raised expectations much much before its release is 'Rocky' directed by Arun Matheswaran. The trailer of the film released several months back impressed one and all and resulted in Rowdy Pictures owners Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan acquiring it.

It has been announced that 'Rocky' will hit the screens on December 23rd and Dhanush has heaped praise on it on Twitter. He wrote "This film is an absolute GEM !! Watch out for some very strong performances. Especially from my beloved Bharathiraja sir. Best of luck to the entire team. Especially , the very talented Arun Madheshwaran. God bless."

It is worth mentioning that Dhanush will soon be teaming up with Arun Madheshwaran for a new movie while his elder brother Selvaraghavan has already made his acting debut in the filmmaker's 'Saani Kaayidham'.

Vignesh Shivan has reacted "Thank you for the positive words for our film sir ! Means a lot #Rocky in theatres from December 23rd , 2021". Bharathiraja has gushed "Thanks for the credit from my dear child.."

'Rocky' has music score by Darbuka Siva, cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna and edited by Nagooran. Vasanth Ravi, Bharathiraja, Raveena Ravi and Rohini form the principal cast.
