R Madhavan's latest film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is making the right noises everywhere and Amazon Prime video today confirmed that the theatrical hit film Rocketry: The Nambi effect will hit the OTT platforms on 26th July this year.

Rocketry marked the directorial debut of R Madhavan, which was his passion project. Besides directing it, he also wrote, produced and played the lead role. He went through extensive make-up to achieve the old-age look of former aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan. And he relentlessly promoted the movie across the world to give it a wider release.

This biographical drama is based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was framed for espionage and imprisoned in 1994. The film chronicles his achievements, his passion for the country's space mission, his unmatched dedication and the accusation that eventually became the biggest personal and professional setback of his life.

Made on a budget of Rs 20 crore, ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ has earned roughly Rs 40 crore so far. Even though the earnings may have slowed down for the film, Rocketry has already become a hit, given that it has earned double the cost of production. The film stars R Madhavan in the lead role, essaying the character of Nambi Narayan. Apart from him, it also features actors Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya in cameo roles.
