Karnataka Premiere League - KPL launched in 2009 and stopped after second season is coming back again. The auctions were recently held and the new addition to this KPL 2014 season is Rock Stars – the cinema celebrities from south India. This time cinema actors in Rock Stars are contesting with real test, one day and T20 cricket players.

The Celebrity Cricket League remains as it is and the new addition to a few of cinema actors from South India with Kichcha Sudeep as captain and Tamil actor Vikranth as Vice Captain begins the first action on 28th of this month in Mysore.

On Sunday night at the launch of logo of Rock Stars` the 7th team in this season with Bangalore Brigadiers, Provident Bangalore, mangalore United, Belagaavi Panthers, Shamanur Davanagere Diamonds, Bijapur Bulls, Mysore Maharajas and Malnad Gladiators had a grand inauguration in the presence of key sponsor VALMARK chief Mr Ratan, ace cricketer of the country GR Vishwanath and Vinay Kumar presence. Former Deputy chief minister R Ashok a Kabbaddi player in his younger days for 20 years declared open the Rock Stars` that was presented via visuals.

Karnataka Premiere League organized by Karnataka Cricket Association will be played from August 28 to September 12.

Kichcha Sudeep heads the Rock Star team. Vikranth is Vice Captain. Other players are Keerthi, Jai Karthik, Mahesh, Arun Binny, Siddanth Mooley, Vivek Gopan, Charan Tej, Rajeev, Adarsh, Pradeep, Raghu, Dhruva Sharma, Shabir Ahluvalia, Raju Gowda and Tarun. Anil Kumar is mentor Raghu is coordinator and Sanjay is Manager.

The tournament will be played at Mysore, Bangalore and Hubli. Priya Sudeep introduced the players of the KPL Rock Star team.

Indian medium pace bowler and batsman Vinay Kumar advised the other six playing team to be careful of this Rock Star`.
