Two new Bollywood films have been given a place in the prestigious Oscar archives.

The scripts of the recently released 'Heroes' and 'Rock On' have been invited to be part of the collection in the library which is used by film makers, artists, film students and enthusiasts for research purposes.

While 'Heroes' which told the story centered around patriotism and about valiant soldiers who loose their lives fighting for the country, 'Rock On' was about a group of rock musicians who after a long sabbatical from performing as a band regroups because of their passion for playing music.

It was on Friday that Samir Karnik, the director of 'Heroes' got the invitation letter from the academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The jubilant film maker feels that it may be the originality of his script that must have led to it being found worth to have a place in the Oscar Library.

The movie 'Rock On' was recognized as truly a different film upon release.

The main reason for the youthful flick to have created this feeling was due to a contemporary story line, its peppy songs having a unique blend of Hindi lyrics and the composition in the groovy style followed by the rock musicians and brilliant acting performances from the lead actors.

Abhishek Kapoor the director of the film says that he got an official letter from the officials of the world famous library which stated that the film has got selected to be kept in the archives.

The young film maker of 'Rock On' which was also honoured at the Indian Vision Film Festival in Washingdon DC also adds he feels extremely good because the world has started to recognize Indian talent and that at the time of the birth of the core idea of the movie itself he knew that it is completely out of the box.
