Looks like conning is going to new heights. News about Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, acquiring the Telugu rights of ‘Endhiran’, superstar Rajnikanth’s latest movie seem to be a 'fraud'. The news and reports about the acquisition of rights, in the media have been rubbished by 'Endhiran' producers Sun Pictures. Reports of Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao buying the Telugu rights for ` 27 crores is false, Sun Pictures revealed in a press statement!

Sun Pictures has clarified that no such deal had been made so far. Apparently two people Udhayakumar, a production manager and his accomplice Surendran had allegedly forged a letter head of Sun Pictures, and “sold the Telugu rights of Enthiran” to Sri Tirupathi Tirumala Films, banner owned by Srinivasa Rao. The two fraudsters had also collected an advance of ` 2 crores. The two of them have been arrested in Chennai on Tuesday.

Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena stated, “We have not sold any rights of Enthiran, be it Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, overseas or satellite rights, to anyone. How could a production manager be authorised to strike a deal? We have filed a complaint against Udhayakumar and his friend”.

Is it that simple to buy and sell movie rights? and that too something worth in crores?
