With only two days left for the worldwide release of Superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Robo’, the distribution rights for the Nizam region was sold after a long negotiation.

The Nizam rights are bought by Multidimension, the exhibitors who bought the rights of Balakrishna’s ‘Simha’ before. Apparently, the transaction would be around ` 7 Crores.

Known to all, Thota Kannarao bought the ‘Robot’ rights of Telugu at ` 27 Crores from producers Sun Pictures. The delay in sale of rights was due to the huge offer price of Kannarao but later with the intervention of the producers itself; a final rate had to be settled. Nizam is considered the largest contributor of the success share and without a buyer for so long, kept the theatres in the area under uncertainty.

All things are settled now and ‘Robot’ will release all over Andhra Pradesh on October 1st 2010.
