It's strange but true, India - the world's biggest democracy is also the nation that produces the highest number of films but still we as an audience and as a film fraternity our already reserved choice for films has now got a roasting` boost.

The Roast` video organized by a group of stand-up comedians called All India Bakchod (AIB) poking fun at the roastees - Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, and hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, has given a new sign board to the political wings at right left and centre. Again B-town celebrities are made soft target and threatened to be banned. Now you have to be choosy and no way cheesy if you want to show your battisi`. The video was pulled out following the Maharashtra government's warning to probe the matter. It was alleged for being "abusive and filthy".

Certainly if anything said that propagates hatred should not be encouraged just for the sake of freedom of expression but the concern over here is the declaration by a political party to ban movies of Ranveer, Arjun and Karan Johar if they do not offer any apology..

Again the netas have found an opportunity to cash` on abhinetas for their mileage and gains causing pain to the janta - who by the away are the actual judge.

It may be vulgar, cheap and not in good taste for a section but how long will this bullying continue.

Indian filmmakers are already under scrutiny from various sections - this group believes Censor Board is a bunch of morons who don't know their jobs and the government is just a mute helpless spectator..

The PK row is the latest example. There are many such happened before be it Kamal Hassan`s Vishwaroopam` SRK`s Billu` (Barber got cut), Prakash Jha`s Aarakshan` all this are befitting example of the level of freedom of expression available for any film maker in India.

AIB roast has taken it further. Ironically for the first time B -town celebrities willingly became the part of the fun poked at them a known phenomenon in west and now the moral policia in India is having its last laugh.

Now we have a benchmark on laughter also. Cheers. Poor Bollywood and stand up comedians the problem only increases and if this continues any below the belt humour featuring Alia Bhatt, Rajinikanth, Aloknath etc can face the tandoori` heat.

More pathetic is the plight of the audience who by the way has the intellect to bring these netas to power but the poor voter cannot decide which film to watch and which video he should click to please his funny bones..

Instead of dealing with corruption, poverty, illiteracy and giving the industry` status to the movie making business in India, Our dear politician just waste time in waiting an opportunity to announce ban` on movies and celebrities whenever they wish..

Before ending there's one more irony which needs to be underlined. In 1913, when the pioneering personal cinematography of Dada Saheb Phalke - the architect of Indian cinema gave magical movement to Indian mythology, India was still a British colony.

And now after 100 years of Indian cinema, Bollywood freedom of expression and laughter finds itself under Politicians colony. Laugh at your own risk.
