Famous folk singer Kollangudi Karuppayi injured in accident!

Kollangudi Karuppayi is one of the famous folk singers of Tamil Nadu, who is known for singing numerous popular folk songs and has also acted in few movies such as Pandiarajan starrer Aan Paavam, Gopala Gopala, Aayusu Nooru etc.
Kollangudi Karuppayi had also worked for 30 years in All India radio, and had won the Kalaimamani award in 1993. After the demise of her husband during a song recording, Kollangudi Karuppayi had quit singing and her daughter has also passed away.
Now, reports are making rounds that Kollangudi Karuppayi has met with an accident. Yesterday, when kollangudi Karuppayi was crossing the road, she was hit by a two wheeler and she was immediately admitted in a hospital in Karaikudi. It has been said that sustained minor injuries and a fracture in her left leg.
