There was a news of the National education policy planning to announce Hindi as a mandatory language from middle school as a part of three language policy even in states that don't speak Tamil.
Following this, there was a huge outrage on social media against imposing Hindi, following which Ministry of human resources department released a press note that the policy is still a draft and the decision will be taken only after public opinion and that there's no plan to impose Hindi.
Today actor RJ Balaji posted a video from his hit movie LKG, which was a deleted scene where he's interviewed by Zakka Jacob, and as the anchor speaks in hindi and RJ Balaji fails to understand, Zakka says you don't know Hindi, following which RJ Balaji's LKG character says Hindi isn't a national language and it is just another language, and that there's no national language for India. The video against Hindi imposition has turned viral.
TN is not against Hindi, it is against forcing Hindi.

Knowing many languages is a strength. But that should be by choice and not by imposition.
