Radio Jockey turned actor RJ Balaji who has been a part of hit movies like Naanum Rowdythaan, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Devi, Ivan Thanthiran etc had turned a hero earlier this year with the political comedy entertainer LKG directed by debutant Prabhu.

The actor is also a part of the Tamil cricket commentary panel of Star Sports Network and can be seen commentating during India's matches. During the recent match between India and Bangladesh, the actor launched a sarcastic sixer against Sanjay Manjrekar, who has been hated by cricket fans all over the world for his commentary.

During the match, RJ Balaji had said former cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh that in the first year of his work with the Tamil commentary team, he was given a pay hike of Rs 1000 as there were less subscribers, and after sometime, the subscribers started increasing, and the hike also increased and only later he realised that it was because of Sanjay Manjrekar's commentary that people started following Tamil commentary and thanked him for his skills.
