Ritu Varma who made a cameo role in the Tamil blockbuster Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 rose to fame with the Tamil audience after playing the lead role in the film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. Ritu Who won the Nandhi award for Best actress acquired a role in Gautham Menon's upcoming film Dhruva Natchathiram.

Ritu who is currently promoting her upcoming Telugu film Varudu Kaavalenu alongside Naga Shaurya opened up about her experience working in the film and most importantly she spilt a bean on her marriage plans.

When asked about her wedding plans she said that she doesn’t want to rush into marriage any sooner. “It can wait. There is a lot of time for it. It may take another two to three years. My family has left the decision to me. They won’t trouble me but occasionally try to pull my leg,” she said.

Speaking about a huge gap in her career she said “I haven’t signed any other film in Telugu. After ‘Pelli Choopulu’, I didn’t get such roles. That’s the reason for the gap. Meanwhile, I did some films in Tamil whose release got delayed." She will next be seen in 'Oke Oka Jeevitham' a bilingual film opposite Sharwanand.
