Couple days back, it was reported that actor Riteish Deshmukh is about to make his directorial debut with a Marathi film. Now the actor himself has made an official announcement about the same. The film is titled 'Ved' and apart from directing it, Riteish is going to bankroll the project and he'll also act in it. The film is set to star Riteish's wife Genelia Deshmukh as well and thus it'll mark her return to the silver screen after 10 years.

On Wednesday, Riteish took to his Instragram account to announce the project. He shared a bunch of posters introducing the crew and wrote, "After being in front of the camera for 20 years, I take a big leap to stand behind it for the first time. As I direct my first Marathi film, I humbly ask you all for your good wishes and blessings. Be a part of this journey, be a part of this madness. ‘Ved’ (Madness)."

Genelia also took to her Instagram to share the poster and wrote, "My First Marathi Film. And Back to the Movies – Finally. Directed by @riteishdA A Dream come true.” The subject and plotline of the film are still a secret.
